Production Manager, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
The Manufacturing Foreman will oversee the day-to-day production activities within a machining environment focused on metal aircraft engine parts. Managing a team of 5-10 employees, the foreman ensures adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and efficient scheduling on a single day shift. This role involves direct interaction with upper management through regular reporting and participation in strategic planning to drive continuous process improvements and maintain high operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee production activities ensuring quality and efficiency in machining metal aircraft engine parts
- Supervise and coordinate a team of 5-10 manufacturing employees
- Maintain safety compliance and enforce safety protocols on the shop floor
- Manage schedules and coordinate shift work to meet production targets
- Conduct training sessions and coordinate staff development
- Ensure timely equipment maintenance to minimize downtime
- Prepare and submit production and progress reports to upper management
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations
- Resolve operational problems promptly to keep production on track
- Collaborate directly with upper management in strategic planning meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in manufacturing supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Read NC programs
- Understand Fanuc Controls
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience in Safety Management and compliance
- Demonstrated team leadership skills
- Background in Quality Assurance practices
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Effective communication skills
