Sr. Social Media Manager - D&D​/Temporary Renton, Washington

Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast are seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead social strategy for Dungeons & Dragons. This is a 1-year contract role for a social media expert who blends strategy and execution to drive an engaging, platform-native presence across channels.

You will monitor platform trends and algorithmic shifts, translating data into actionable strategy. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Creative, and Franchise teams to develop and maintain a best-in-class social strategy and an editorial calendar that balances franchise moments, product launches, and real-time opportunities.

This role is hybrid, working three days a week in Renton, WA.

• Own and deliver D&D’s overarching social media strategy with platform-specific approaches for Instagram, Tik Tok, X, You Tube, Facebook, and others to maximize reach, engagement, and brand relevance.
• Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best-in-class brand behavior; engage with brands, creators, and community voices to keep D&D culturally relevant.
• Build and manage an analytics framework: define metrics, track performance, communicate insights to collaborators, and pivot strategy in real time.
• Foster a test-and-learn culture by designing channel and content experiments, measuring outcomes, and scaling what works.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Creative, and Franchise teams to influence content development and ensure alignment with social strategy.
• Develop and manage an editorial calendar that balances franchise moments, product launches, and real-time opportunities while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

• 5–8 years of social media experience, with 2–3 years in a senior or lead role, preferably in gaming, entertainment, or consumer brands.
• Proven ability to develop sophisticated social strategies and execute them hands-on, from copy drafting to trend activation.
• Deep knowledge of major social platforms and a curiosity about where social is headed.
• Strong analytics skills: proficiency with tools (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Brandwatch, native analytics, etc.), ability to interpret data, and a track record of translating insights into decisions.
• Excellent communication skills; able to present analytics and campaign results to a broad audience, including senior leadership.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and secure resources for a world-class social strategy.
• Experience managing brand social accounts that engage authentic fan communities.

• Passion for or active experience with Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop RPGs, or related gaming and fantasy communities.
• Experience on IP-driven or franchise brands with highly engaged fan communities.
• Familiarity with creator and influencer partnerships as an extension of organic social strategy.
• Experience with paid social as a complement to organic strategy.

Duration: 12 months

• Starting Pay Range: $45/hour
• Pay Range End: $58/hour
