Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner
A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Renton, Washington area is actively seeking a full-time Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join its health team. This is a team-based, patient-centered environment serving a diverse patient population, with strong system-wide clinical support and resources.
The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Position Overview• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care
• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic GI conditions including GERD, IBD, liver disease, pancreatitis, and functional GI disorders
• Conduct hospital consults, rounding, and follow-up visits
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure management for endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, etc.)
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Provide patient education focused on diet, lifestyle modification, and medication management
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based digestive health initiatives
This role is ideal for an APP who enjoys a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care and thrives in a collaborative, procedure-focused specialty environment.
Qualifications• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Washington State or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified (FNP, AGNP, or ACNP)
• Active/Eligible DEA registration
• Gastroenterology experience preferred; strong new graduates with relevant RN background may be considered
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
