Nurse Practitioner – Neurology
A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner – Neurology to join its growing neuroscience team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Position Overview
- Provide outpatient neurology care for adult patients in collaboration with neurologists and specialty providers
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurological conditions including headaches, epilepsy, neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, dementia, stroke follow-up, and multiple sclerosis
- Conduct patient consultations, follow-up visits, and ongoing care management
- Collaborate closely with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and primary care providers on treatment planning and care coordination
- Assist with neurological assessments, medication management, and patient education
- Interpret and review diagnostic studies including EEGs, MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory results as appropriate
- Educate patients and families regarding neurological conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Active or eligible for Washington State licensure
- Active/eligible DEA registration
- Prior experience in neurology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
