Product Engineer – Tabletop Games
A Product Engineer at Wizards of the Coast will define materials, processes, and specifications for tabletop games such as Magic:
The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. The role works with suppliers to deliver products that meet producer vision, business needs, and quality standards.
- Develop manufacturing specifications, identify production processes, and lead pre‑production activity through final production.
- Collaborate with suppliers to craft collation plans and ensure correct components are packed.
- Produce printing and manufacturing solutions that meet design and functional goals.
- Provide cost estimates for each phase and track against finance targets.
- Create detailed product specifications and validate proofs and materials from suppliers.
- Participate in product development meetings, discuss design decisions and supply constraints.
- Attend supplier facilities for print and pack‑out approvals as needed.
- Apply production‑management expertise to identify and solve project challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts & Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production roles such as art production, purchasing, traffic, marketing, prepress, printing, or packaging.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for creating quality products.
- Knowledge of plastic component production is a plus.
- Experience managing consumer‑product production at supplier sites (press checks, pack‑out checks, audits).
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills a very strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of print, package, card, book, and toy manufacturing processes.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Strong eye for detail and color perception.
- Interest in the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Current passport or ability to obtain one.
Pay range: $82,100 - $134,900 USD, plus eligibility for annual and long‑term incentives.
