We’re looking for Materials Science specialists — Masters and PhD holders — to help train and evaluate cutting edge AI models on some of the most technically demanding problems in science. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts who want to put their knowledge to work in a new and high impact way.

• Develop, solve, and review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
• Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to design complex, rigorous problem sets
• Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, depth, and logical coherence
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen model performance
• Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and precision across all deliverables
• Work independently on task-based assignments - fully on your own schedule

• Master’s or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field
• Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent areas
• Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or applied projects
• Naturally detail-oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to scientific problems
• Clear and precise written communicator - you can explain complex concepts without sacrificing accuracy
• Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

• Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in computational materials science or simulation-based research
• Familiarity with AI tools or scientific benchmarking as an end user
• Prior experience reviewing or peer-editing technical scientific content

• Work on cutting edge AI projects alongside leading research labs
