Retail & Store Manager, Operations Manager
Location:
Renton, Washington – 3210 NE Sunset Blvd.
Retail Assistant Manager to support retail, production, and material handling teams, ensuring team member satisfaction and achieving financial goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Understand operational metrics; implement plans to achieve goals.
- Discuss operations and results with knowledge and fluency.
- Maximize sales through proper stock rotation, merchandising, signage, and inventory management of new and used goods.
- Ensure continuous product flow through production support and partnership with inventory and new goods.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Develop strong working relationships across the organization.
- Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ensure compliance with Goodwill policies and procedures.
Interview, hire, train, assign, monitor performance, reward, discipline, and resolve complaints per Goodwill policies and applicable laws. Partner with People Relations as needed.
Position RequirementsEducation and Experience
- High‑school graduate or equivalent.
- Retail leadership experience of 3+ years.
- 2+ years leading a sales team in a retail or service environment.
- Experience leading a customer‑centric, solutions‑based team.
- Ability to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs.
- Skilled understanding of budget metrics and P+L (minimum 1 year).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Washington driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to learn new technology and software related to the job.
Physical Abilities
- Lift and carry 20–30 pounds; fine motor control; standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing, climbing ladders, and traveling across varied surfaces.
- Operate computer systems.
- Maintain vision requirements (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, focus). Communicate verbally and in writing, including with limited‑English speakers. Reliable attendance.

Work Environment
Exposure to moderate noise levels typical of retail; occasional outdoor work; requires reliable transportation and flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
