Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Regional Sales Manager I, Commercial located in Washington. The territory coverage is WA, OR, , MT, AK, WY, UT, and CO.

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager I is responsible for sales growth of Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) Commercial products through development of existing distribution relationships. Responsible for developing relationships within distribution channels and within the architectural, engineering and contractor communities to educate about METUS products and their applications. Promote Mitsubishi Electric technologies to Owners, Architects, Engineering, Construction (AEC) Stakeholders and other organizations that can benefit from the technology and products.

Functions
  • Effectively lead a group of Area Sales Managers, as needed, within an assigned region to achieve established sales growth and business unit objectives. Hire, develop and train a motivated commercial sales team.
  • Effectively function as the lead point of contact with senior leaders of assigned distribution partners.
  • In collaboration with Business Unit Leadership, develop and implement regional sales growth/business plans based on METUS corporate initiatives, market analysis, and business unit objectives.
  • Responsible for implementing market strategy and achieving sales goals for assigned region.
  • Call on and develop relationships with local engineers, architects, contractors and other AEC Stakeholders to educate them on METUS Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, along with other METUS products and their applications.
  • Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations and functions.
  • Prepare and deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors and distributor personnel.
  • Oversee effective specification of METUS Products – Know and combat competitive solutions.
  • Position, influence, and track market opportunities in territory.
  • Provide superior customer experience utilizing all internal & external resources.
  • Willing to travel up to 40% for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly Internationally

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years technical sales experience preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Minimum 5 years calling on the AEC community as sales engineer or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Commercial HVAC distribution required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
  • Familiar with HVAC application and design.
  • Familiar with PowerPoint/Excel/Word and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people.
  • Experience developing and implementing business growth plans
  • Effective public speaking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must reside in the Business Unit Geography
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $111,200 and $152,900/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions of 30% of total compensation calculated as achievement against annual revenue targets, incentive compensation and discretionary awards.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date.
