Community Business Development Manager; NorCal​/Washington

Role Overview

Manager, Business Development (Community Outreach Business Development Manager) – works closely with sales leaders to drive member acquisition and engagement across Northern California and Washington.

• Collaborate with the Director of Sales Performance and other sales leaders to build a pipeline of qualified leads and meet assigned sales/membership growth targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local politicians, senior centers, providers, and other community influencers.
• Plan and execute community meetings, events, and outreach initiatives to promote the organization, raise awareness, and generate leads.
• Represent the organization at community, employer, and company-sponsored events to foster awareness and generate sales opportunities.
• Maintain consistent and effective communication with external stakeholders, elected officials, and community-based programs.
• Track lead and sales conversions and report on ROI for outreach activities.
• Create and implement lead‑generation plans and monitor their effectiveness.
• Create business cases, secure resources (people, funding, materials, support), and drive strategic initiatives.
• Analyze competitor strategies, identify changing patterns, and recommend responses.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, HIPAA, and privacy requirements.
• Use the customer relationship management system to record updates and meet performance metrics.
• Adhere to all sales operations processes and product portfolio guidelines.
• Travel 50% or more of the time to support local events and outreach efforts.

• 3+ years of outside sales or outreach experience within the Medicare community.
• 5+ years in a coordinator role supporting sales, with equivalent experience from outside sales or outreach.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (data input, reporting, formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
• Medicare experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in business/network development, product marketing, or related areas.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy laws.
• Strong communication, presentation, and professional interpersonal skills.
• Creative problem‑solving, critical thinking, and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, implementation‑focused environments.
• Must be located in Northern California or Washington state.

• Base pay: $92,400.00 to $ annually.
