Our client is a well-established, full-service Mechanical Contractor specializing in Commercial and Industrial HVAC and Plumbing services. Their portfolio spans new construction (plan and spec), remodel and retrofit/bid work, and Energy Service Performance Contracting. Their primary clientele includes healthcare facilities, laboratories, K-12 schools and universities, and municipal and government entities — making them a respected name in the commercial and industrial space.
They are seeking a driven and experienced Service Maintenance Sales Representative to prospect and sell HVAC and Plumbing Service Maintenance Contracts across a defined territory ranging from Everett to Tacoma, WA
. This is a high-impact role with significant opportunity to tap into an underserved market, particularly in the Tacoma area.
- Prospect and sell Commercial and Industrial HVAC and Plumbing Service Maintenance Contracts within the Everett to Tacoma territory.
- Generate new business through a variety of methods including cold outreach, walk-ins, re-engaging past customers, cross-selling, and leveraging WA state permit sites (wa.gov).
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract close ("Cold to Sold").
- Set appointments from a home or office-based setup while maintaining an active field presence throughout the territory.
- Participate in weekly team meetings, typically held on Fridays.
- Identify and pursue opportunities in the Tacoma area, which represents a largely untapped market within the territory.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with service technicians and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and contract renewals.
- 2+ years of experience selling Commercial and/or Industrial HVAC service maintenance contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and develop new business independently.
- Familiarity with the Everett to Tacoma market area is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing a sales territory and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively from a home or office setting.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Competitive base salary plus commission (8% commission on the first year of each contract).
