Service Technician

Job Summary

Service Technician – North West Handling Systems, Inc. located in Corporate office. Responsible for field service of material handling equipment, primarily lift trucks and forklifts.

• Perform repairs/replacements of virtually any component on lift trucks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and determine fault or extent of malfunction/damage.
• Access equipment interior by crawling under and using hand, pneumatic tools, jacks, and hoists.
• Disassemble units, inspect parts for wear, tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty components or assemblies.
• Repair and service electrical systems, brake systems, read display fault codes, and download software updates.
• Replace and adjust lights, install and repair accessories as required.
• Test adjusted systems to meet performance specifications.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance such as lubrication and tune‑ups.
• Test drive forklifts, test components and systems.
• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections and assemble new forklifts as required.

• Minimum 36 months experience as a diesel, auto, or other mechanical technician.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and supply own tools.
• Forklift certification and valid driver license.
• Must pass background check and DOT/Drug tests.
• Effective communication with customers and management.
• Positive customer interaction and dedication to customer satisfaction.
• Experience with MS Office products (plus).
• Ability to organize workload and meet deadlines.

Starting Pay: $28.00/HOUR DOE

Wage negotiable for experience.

Signing bonus $1,500 after 12 months of employment.

Experienced technicians with 3+ years may receive a one‑time $3,000 bonus paid after 12 months of continuous employment.
