OverviewPerform duties to install and calibrate Coordinate Measuring Machines, Form Products and Quick Vision Systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair assigned products. During training, be prepared for internal audit and eventual placement as Field Service Technician.
What You’ll Do- Install, calibrate, and repair precision measuring equipment at customer sites.
- Travel up to 450 miles from home, with occasional flight; daily overnight stays (100% travel).
- Earn 65k‑68k plus $700/month car allowance and reimbursed gas; must have reliable vehicle.
- Participate in a 3–6 month training program (home weekends).
- Grow from FST 1 to senior under appropriate zone.

Responsibilities- Perform installations, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of assigned product group(s).
- Promote sale of customer service agreements as appropriate.
- Maintain daily contact with headquarters per MACFS SOPs.
- Maintain contact with customers per schedule.
- Train end users in preventive maintenance procedures.
- Complete and submit required paperwork weekly (work orders, calibration reports, time/activity reports, expense reports).
- Email completed work orders and calibration data to MACFS within 24–72 hours.
- Maintain equipment, calibration standards, and interim checks.
- Maintain good customer relations; inform management of potential issues.
- Perform job in accordance with MACFS quality management system.
- Maintain parts inventory and return unused or defective parts with proper paperwork.
- Conform with all compliance issues related to calibration.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentManufacturing and quality room environments.
Physical DemandsLifting, moving, and carrying up to 50 lbs; bending, squatting, reaching.
Additional Requirements- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be a U.S. person (LPA or U.S. Citizen).
Full‑time. Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
TravelUp to 100% travel; up to 8 hours daily driving. Must secure and utilize business travel accommodations independently.
RequiredEducation and Experience
Four years of college equivalency and two years of experience.
