Maintenance Technician

Horizon Realty Advisors LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support student housing and multifamily communities. In this role, you will complete work orders, perform preventive maintenance, support unit turns, and respond to emergency calls to ensure safe, well-maintained properties. You will troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues while following safety standards. Working closely with the property and leasing teams, you will help deliver excellent resident service and support a collaborative culture with opportunities for training and career growth in property management.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders in a timely, professional manner
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Support unit turns, including repairs, replacements, and painting
• Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation
• Maintain maintenance areas, tools, and inventory in clean, safe condition
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements at all times
• Collaborate with property and leasing teams to ensure resident satisfaction
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Document work performed in maintenance or work order systems
