Position Overview
Social Service Professional Contract for Indigent Parents in Dependency Cases – Spokane County, Washington.
This part‑time position requires a caseload of 140 hours per month and offers an annual compensation of $99,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional social service support to indigent parents, custodians, and legal guardians involved in child dependency and termination of parental rights proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients and child welfare stakeholders.
- Deliver excellent, culturally competent representation of clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human services, or a related field (degree may be waived for exceptional candidates).
- Experience in child welfare cases as a professional and/or lived experience.
- Strong communication skills with indigent clients and child welfare stakeholders.
- Demonstrated history of providing excellent, culturally competent client representation.
