Job Requirements and Duties
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Possess navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including navigating adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Qualifications

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands

Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Walking surfaces include tile or linoleum in food process areas. Height of work surfaces is between 36  and 48 . Measures of walking distances and pace are short.

Walking: Generally short distances and short durations.

Sitting: Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting: Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more, including cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds (dimensions up to 3' x 1.5 ). Cases are lifted from floor and stocked onto shelves up to 72  high.

Carrying: Items such as pizza sauce can weigh up to 30 pounds. Trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time over short distances, weighing approx. 12 pounds.

Pushing: Trays on dollies require a force of up to 7.5 pounds to push. Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing: Staff must infrequently navigate stairs or ladders to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.

Bending and Stoop: Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station; duration approx. 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.

Crouching/ Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.

Reaching: Continuous reaching up to 72  to operate ovens, change sign prices, lower or lift objects from shelves; reaching down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes.

Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential. Frequent use of both hands for shaping dough, using pizza peel, rolling cutter, packing boxes, etc.

Driver or Store Management Responsibilities
  • Carry pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing during delivery.
  • Drive and deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area and make several deliveries per shift.
  • Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer locations.
  • Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery of product.
