This recruitment aims to fill (1) Career Service Inventory Purchasing Specialist III vacancy at the South Treatment Plant. This is an opportunity to support front line workers that protect the environment and keep wastewater infrastructure operating optimally.

King County Wastewater Treatment Division inventory purchasing specialists manages over 15,000 unique parts in our secured stores to be available when requested and provides procurement services to the trades (crafts) for all other non-inventory items. This position is responsible for overall material readiness of all equipment at the Renton WWTP through the procurement and dispensing of critical spare parts and materials.

• Shipping and receiving

• Maintain computerized internal purchasing/inventory records and information system
• Work with AP to resolve discrepancies and billing for accuracy

• Work Schedule:
  
  40-hour week with either a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule, Monday-Friday. Overtime eligible under FLSA.

• Physical Requirement:
  Must be able to routinely lift packages up to 50 pounds; operate forklifts, pallets jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
