This is an opportunity to support front line workers that protect the environment and keep wastewater infrastructure operating optimally.
AboutThe Role
King County Wastewater Treatment Division inventory purchasing specialists manages over 15,000 unique parts in our secured stores to be available when requested and provides procurement services to the trades (crafts) for all other non-inventory items. This position is responsible for overall material readiness of all equipment at the Renton WWTP through the procurement and dispensing of critical spare parts and materials.

Job Duties- Shipping and receiving
- Inventory management
- Maintain computerized internal purchasing/inventory records and information system
- Work with AP to resolve discrepancies and billing for accuracy
- Purchasing goods and services
- Knowledge of basic warehousing equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of heavy duty and industrial parts
- Skill in the use of personal computers, word processors and database management software
- Skill in operating forklift and other material handling equipment
- Skill in interpreting and evaluating manuals and catalogs

South Treatment Plant - 1200 Monster Rd SW, Renton, WA 98057 - Work Schedule:
40-hour week with either a 4/10 or 5/8 schedule, Monday-Friday. Overtime eligible under FLSA. - Union Representation: SEIU 925 (Wastewater Treatment Division)
- Physical Requirement:
Must be able to routinely lift packages up to 50 pounds; operate forklifts, pallets jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
