Controller - Construction

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, challenging, and rewarding environment within the construction industry.

• Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting.
• Implement and ensure adherence to internal financial and accounting controls and procedures.
• Manage and coordinate tax audits and tax returns with external accounting firm.
• Utilize Foundation Accounting Software and Procore Construction Software for various accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using Foundation Accounting Software and Procore Construction Software.
• In‑depth knowledge of work‑in‑progress (WIP) reporting, cost accounting, and other relevant construction accounting practices.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze complex financial data and create financial reports and projections.
• Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage and mentor a high‑performing accounting team.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity and dependability with strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.
