Job Description

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end close
* Process and manage accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing
* Support semi-monthly payroll processing, including validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
* Support accounting for government contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M) in compliance with FAR
* Assist with maintaining and improving internal controls and accounting procedures
* Support external audits and DCAA requests by preparing documentation and schedules
* Assist with incurred cost submissions and other compliance-related reporting
* Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial data integrity

Required Qualifications
* 3–6 years of accounting experience
* Experience with accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger functions
* Working knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with FAR or government contract accounting
* Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Deltek Costpoint preferred)
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience working in a small or mid-sized business environment###

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
* CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
* Experience in a government contracting environment
* Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll systems
* Exposure to DCAA audits or compliance processes
