The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, clients, and vendors at Palo Alto Networks campuses. This role ensures a seamless and professional front desk experience, manages visitor access and lobby protocols, supports workplace operations, and upholds a welcoming and secure environment. Receptionists are responsible for providing high-quality customer service, coordinating guest logistics, and partnering with Places, Security, Executive Assistants, and business stakeholders to support daily operations and scheduled events.

- Set schedule:
Mon
-Fri 8am to 5pm - Competitive hourly wage of $25.00 / HR (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees!)

- A. Lobby & Guest Experience
- Welcome and engage visitors, employees, and guests with professionalism and hospitality.
- Maintain a polished, organized, and safe lobby environment.
- Provide directions, location guidance, and host notifications.
- Assist VIPs and executive guests with elevated service expectations.
- B. Visitor & Access Management
- Manage visitor sign-in/out processes and verify identity and authorization.
- Issue temporary and contractor badges in alignment with access control protocols.
- Enforce access policies consistently and respectfully.
- Coordinate closely with the GSOC and Security teams to elevate access concerns or policy exceptions.
- C. Communications & Coordination
- Respond to in-person inquiries, emails, and Slack messages promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with Workplace and Security to support daily operations and service updates.
- Support front desk messaging and communication channels as needed.
- D. Meetings, Events & Workplace Support
- Support guest check-in and event attendee registration.
- Assist with conference room coordination, hospitality setup, and guest guidance.
- Anticipate and respond to multiple concurrent meetings or visitors in a fast‑paced environment.
- Support event logistics as directed by the Reception Manager or National Account Manager.
- E. Administrative Support
- Track lobby supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Assist with assigned administrative tasks and special projects.
- F. Workplace Safety & Preparedness
- Ensure compliance with life-safety and access standards by completing scheduled equipment audits (fire extinguishers, duress buttons, elevators, AEDs, and related systems) and escalating any malfunction or missing certification.
- Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguishers, duress buttons, elevators, and other lobby safety devices; elevate deficiencies promptly.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
- Have an active DCJS
- Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
- 2+ years experience for customer facing positions in hospitality, administration, or corporate front desk environment.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar).
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to learn and follow documented procedures consistently.
