Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule. In office:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday;
Remote:
Monday and Friday.
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM

Job DescriptionThe Purchasing Assistant will support day-to-day procurement functions by managing purchase order activity, maintaining accurate order records, coordinating with vendors, and assisting internal teams with order-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Create and process purchase orders within internal systems
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing updates, and delivery timelines
- Communicate with vendors regarding order confirmations, shipment schedules, and discrepancies
- Monitor open orders and provide status updates to internal departments
- Assist with invoice tracking, proof of delivery collection, and purchasing documentation
- Support return requests, cancellations, and order adjustments as needed
- Respond to high-volume email communication related to purchasing activity and order support
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to help resolve order and delivery concerns
- 6+ months of purchasing, procurement, or order support experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of data entry or administrative support experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems or purchasing software is a plus
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred
