As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across the company.
Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It’s your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
As part of the Compliance, Safety and Risk Management (CSRM) team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program for our new data centers currently under construction in Austria. This includes managing EHS management systems, ensuring environmental compliance, and providing site oversight. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and contractors to identify and address EHS concerns through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
You will help ensure the safety of the operations workforce and the protection of both the environment and the business. Furthermore, you will provide guidance on the implementation of new and critical EHS initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement and iteration of our global programs.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $147,000–$216,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Coach a global team of EHS Assurance Program Managers, fostering a high‑performance culture through active mentorship, targeted career development, and rigorous performance management.
- Architect and drive unified global goals for the EHS assurance program, ensuring absolute consistency in standards, execution, and regional alignment across all business units.
- Design frameworks and metrics to quantify business value, demonstrating how the assurance program effectively mitigates critical risks and supports organizational resilience.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end Global EHS Assurance Program, including the deployment and governance of the third‑party vendor‑executed assessment model and senior leadership alignment.
- Analyze global audit intelligence to identify systemic trends and deficiencies, spearheading program enhancements that reduce risk exposure and maintain safety systems.
