ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do:
The Vice President, Growth and Mission Support will be responsible for the development of new business and for the retention and expansion of existing and related business opportunities for Global Mission Support (Base Operations and Logistics). This executive position develops a broad customer base for V2X and related market segments. This leader interacts with department partners for the successful integration of new business opportunities (intercompany cooperation).
Provides independent and in-depth assessment/viewpoint relating to new business/follow-on pursuits for V2X Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as required. Responsible for the full spectrum of business development from concept and opportunity, through the capture and proposal cycle, culminating in award. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal contracting processes, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of growing revenue streams and partnerships in a highly competitive environment.
This role is critical in shaping the company's long-term growth strategy and directly impacting top-line performance.
Establishes and maintains in-depth knowledge of V2X lines of business and strategic directions.
Develops short and long range plans for penetration/expansion of potential business opportunities. Develops Mission Support strategic growth plan (5-year)
Oversees and leads new business proposal efforts to ensure core competency, compliance with customer requirements and attainment of cost and budget objectives.
Supports the development of bid and proposal estimates, monitors progress against plan, and initiates corrective action where appropriate
Interfaces with partner organizations to promote cooperative new business pursuits and ventures.
Coordinates closely with the Senior Leadership Team to manage, identify and pursue potential expansion and/or follow-on business within existing and developing business areas.
Develops an addressable pipeline and manages the qualification of pursuits to support required bid submission velocity and bookings performance goals.
Provides overall leadership of capture teams in the preparation of program acquisition/capture plans on selected programs detailing the win strategy, discriminators, cost to win estimates, and action plans.
Maintains an awareness of industry capabilities and recommends, where appropriate, business relationships such as teaming, joint ventures and/or subcontracting.
Assesses and reports on competitor activities, capabilities, perceived strategies and new developments.
Participates in selected Government/Industry Associations and Government briefings to Industry, and Industry briefings to Government.
Establishes and maintains effective liaison/interfaces at various levels within the customer community, including Government agencies, industry primes and potential subcontractors and teammates
Ensures all business development activities are consistent with growth processes and schedules in accordance with current procurement timelines.
Establishes and maintains business relationships with potential partners.
Takes advantage of Mission Support and V2X capabilities to build cross portfolio opportunities.
Work with V2X Government Affairs personnel to cultivate relationships inside the Federal Government to include Congress and the Pentagon.
Recommends the use of consultants where appropriate and conducts performance measurements.
Leads a team of 20-30 professionals.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Education:
A minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in management within business development and execution in DOD and/or Federal civilian agencies
A minimum of ten (10) years experience in an executive position directly related to business development for Global Mission Support
Full knowledge of the federal procurement process, as well as a strong, proven capability to apply process-driven capture approaches throughout the business capture lifecycle.
Record of successful business development wins in relevant mission areas
Other Requirements :
Ability to travel to project and customer locations up to 50%.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Active secret security clearance required

Masters Degree in Business, Marketing, Contracting and Acquisition Management, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
Experience:
Knowledge of V2X or like business lines and BD process is preferred.
