Job Summary
The Indirects Package Manager supervises and directs indirect construction support activities for an assigned area or facility on a large, complex Manufacturing & Technology project. This role manages subordinate supervision, craft, subcontractors, and service providers to deliver site logistics, temporary facilities, construction utilities, tools, equipment, materials support, housekeeping, waste management, and related services safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project cost, schedule, quality, and procedural requirements.
MajorResponsibilities
- Supervise assigned indirects scope, including site logistics, temporary facilities, construction utilities, tools, equipment, materials support, housekeeping, waste management, and general site services.
- Lead subordinate supervision, craft, subcontractors, and service providers to execute work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans, procedures, budgets, and schedules.
- Develop and manage workforce, equipment, material, and service plans; resource forecasts; field material requisitions; work packages; and daily execution priorities.
- Review subcontractor methods, schedules, resource plans, and performance to confirm compliance with scope, specifications, cost, schedule, ES&H, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate construction support interfaces with other disciplines, areas, subcontractors, external stakeholders, and client representatives to maintain schedule alignment.
- Monitor progress, quantities, cost, schedule, and resource trends; prepare reports and forecasts for construction progress, staffing, expenditures, and execution risks.
- Support field changes, requests for information, change notices, amendments, subcontract bid inputs, and scope verification.
- Promote safe work execution, quality performance, team development, coaching, competency growth, and continuous improvement in field operations.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Advanced field supervision experience managing indirect construction support scope on large, complex projects with multiple interfaces, stakeholders, and execution priorities.
- Strong knowledge of site logistics, temporary facilities, construction utilities, tools, equipment, consumables, material handling, housekeeping, waste management, and general services.
- Ability to lead subordinate supervision, craft, subcontractors, and service providers; set priorities; coordinate daily field activities; and resolve resource or interface constraints.
- Proficiency in construction planning, work packaging, resource forecasting, progress reporting, quantity tracking, cost and schedule analysis, and applicable automation tools and project systems.
- Working knowledge of subcontractor management, construction methods, field change processes, requests for information, subcontract scope requirements, and execution risk management.
- Strong understanding of ES&H, quality, project procedures, approved design documents, safe work planning, work rules, and the Zero Accident Philosophy.
