Duration:
This internship program is seasonal during the summer months, with a start date of May 18th and an end date of August 14th. Specific work schedules shall be determined by the department based on internship assignment and course requirements. 35–40 hours. In office. Internships are non‑exempt positions. Pay:
Undergraduate Students: $18.00 per hour. Summer interns will not work more than forty (40) hours in an administrative work week.
Program Overview:
Interns will engage in projects linked to their academic fields.
- Marketing Graphic Design students will work on design graphics for dining hall, retail and digital promotions. Graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
- Will need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using InDesign, Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
- Work with Regional Marketing Director and Creative Director to produce final design.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on‑brand.
- Must submit a portfolio to be considered.
- Current Student or recent graduate:
Interns must be currently enrolled in a program of study or a recent graduate (within 12 months) from an accredited college/university or technical/vocational institution and be in good academic standing. Transcripts are required as a supplement to this application. - Cover Letter:
Applicants must submit an essay expressing their interest in the program and what they hope to gain from their experience. The essay should be in Microsoft Word and not exceed one page. - Background Check:
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen. - Interns must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be punctual with reliable transportation, have a strong work ethic and maintain confidentiality when required.
