Dental Assistant – Oral Surgery;
Surgical Assistant – Oral Surgery. This position is based in the Reston office, with potential travel to Leesburg and McLean offices as needed. It is not remote or hybrid.

Step into the fast-paced world of oral surgery as a Surgical Dental Assistant. Your role is pivotal, aiding surgeons with precision during procedures and documenting patient care. From preoperative tasks to maintaining sterile environments, your expertise ensures smooth operations. Engage in discussions with surgeons, monitor patient status, and handle advanced equipment. Obtain radiographs and craft detailed patient narratives.

• Aide surgeons during procedures with precision and maintain sterile environments.
• Prepare and manage preoperative tasks and patient care documentation.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and post-procedure recovery.
• Operate and handle advanced dental equipment with precision.
• Obtain vital radiographs and craft detailed patient narratives.
• Engage in strategic discussions with surgeons to support patient care.

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification (or completed within 1 month of hire)
• Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking
• Passion for safety, exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness
• Basic computer proficiency
• Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency scenarios

• Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial
• DAANCE certification is desirable
• Licensed dental assistant status is preferred
• Radiology certification is a plus
