Al Fatih Academy (AFA) seeks substitute teachers for the school year. AFAis a Muslim independent school serving preschool through Grade 8 with an anticipated enrollment of approximately 270 students in Reston, VA. AFA is dual-accredited by Cognia & CISNA and is an accreditation candidate with the Virginia Association of Independent Schools.
Substitute teachers at Al Fatih Academy may teach alongside another teacher in the homeroom, teach an independent class, or fill in for a special teacher. They are expected to:
- Provide instruction and the implementation of lesson plans
- Manage the class according to teacher and school guidelines
- Records information about the academic and behavioral progress of students as needed
Candidates should have teaching experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to the mission of Al Fatih Academy.
Successful candidates must complete required background checks.
