Early Childhood Preschool Teacher

Overview

Bright Horizons offers full‑time teaching positions with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Candidates can pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost while learning from early education experts. This role involves teaching, classroom management, and parental communication.

• Create hands‑on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support across age groups when teaching coverage is needed.

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Related college‑level early education coursework or CDA required.
• One year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) required.

• Frequently lift, carry or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds; sometimes over 40 pounds.
• Full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit and otherwise participate in activities.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy.

Reston, VA area. Requires in‑person work at a Bright Horizons centre.

Hourly rate $21.25–$25.95. Eligible for $1,000 hiring incentive.
