About UsCyberteck Academy offers after‑school and summer camp services focused on computer science and game design for students grades 1-7, serving schools in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Training and ExperienceNo previous experience required. Paid training and curricula are provided. Great opportunity for college students or part‑time job seekers to gain teaching experience. Classes meet once a week and run for 6 to 8 weeks. Minimum 2 days of availability per week.
LocationsTeach technology classes at schools in one or more of the following VA/MD/DC locations:
Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William, DC, Montgomery, Howard, Frederick.
Training starts in August 2026. Work follows thereafter.
Fairfax: 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (≈3.5 hrs)
Prince William: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (≈3.5 hrs)
Saturday classes: 8:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (EST)
Montgomery: 2:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. (as many days as possible)
Howard: 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (as many days as possible); preference for 3+ days/week especially in Howard.
DC: 4001 Calvert St NW, Washington, DC. Must be available on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Start week Feb 9 to May. Paid training before then.
VehicleMUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT COMPANY LAPTOPS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT.
Duties- Pick up equipment from local facility and travel to assigned school
- Show up on time – responsible for children
- Set up laptops and equipment for 8-12 children
- Teach Minecraft Programming, Game Design, Animation, and/or Lego Robotics classes
- Ensure students safely leave with appropriate parent or staff
- Familiar with video and/or computer games
- Enjoys working with and teaching kids between 5 and 14 years
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work well independently
- Must pass a criminal and sex offender background check
- Experience with basic programming, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, or 3D modeling software (plus but not required)
- Experience with child care, teaching, or tutoring (plus but not required)
Paid internship or part‑time seasonal contract. Paid training available for new employees the first month of each season.
