Trainer and Instructional Designer
The Trainer and Instructional Designer analyzes learning needs, designs and develops training solutions, and delivers engaging learning experiences that build capability across the FPS2 program. This role blends instructional design expertise, adult learning methodologies, and strong facilitation to improve performance and support program objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Assess learning needs by partnering with stakeholders to identify performance gaps, target audiences, and training requirements.
- Design and develop training materials that are instructionally sound, visually clear, and aligned to defined learning outcomes.
- Facilitate instructor-led training and deliver presentations that engage adult learners in corporate, technical, and/or government environments.
- Create and maintain learning assets, such as course decks, participant guides, job aids, and eLearning modules.
- Manage training development projects from concept through delivery, including timelines, reviews, and stakeholder coordination.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather inputs, incorporate feedback, and ensure training solutions meet expectations.
- Experience designing and delivering training in corporate, technical, or government environments
- Proficiency with instructional design and content development tools such as:
Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, and/or Vyond - Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to create clear, visually appealing, instructionally sound learning materials
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of related experience
- Master's degree in a learning-related field
- Experience with LMS administration and/or learning data analytics
- Exposure to Agile development and/or human-centered design approaches
- Industry-specific training experience (e.g., IT, cybersecurity, healthcare, operations)
