In this role, you will lead a high-performance team to develop and manage complex Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) project programs. You will assist functional leads to ensure requirements are properly integrated and be responsible for overall project ES&H execution. Your leadership will help achieve ES&H performance expectations, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Major Responsibilities- Assure that ESH requirements are properly interpreted and integrated in planning documents, design criteria, construction and operational plans, schedules, training programs, and subcontract documents.
- Apply Bechtel's ESH Management System and standards (core processes) to achieve, maintain, and continually improve program execution and compliance with ESH requirements.
- Provide support within ESH teams and to other project groups, so that ESH requirements are integrated within project planning, design, construction planning, procurement, subcontracts, commissioning, and other project functions.
- Work with other functional leads (e.g., engineering, construction, subcontracts, procurement, project controls, document controls) to assist them with ESH requirements in their work products and activities.
- Prepare technical and regulatory reports and notifications in conformance with contract, regulatory, and Bechtel requirements.
- Assure that permit applications, studies, reports, and assessments are completed as required.
- Prepare the project Safety and Health Management Plan, safety and health specific plans, project-specific control plans, and safety and health awareness and training programs in compliance with Bechtel standards, ES&H Management System, and contract and regulatory requirements.
- Emphasize and use risk assessment and Bechtel's ES&H Management System to help achieve continual improvement.
A Master of Science degree (or equivalent) in environmental, occupational safety, health, or a science-related discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental, occupational safety, health, or science-related discipline with 14+ years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in environmental, occupational safety, health, or a science-related field with 16+ years of relevant experience.

- Strong organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills.
- Ability to research and comprehend regulatory requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer and analytical skills for presentations, data management, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
- Adaptable and able to work outdoors in a field environment under various weather conditions.
- Expertise in incident investigation, procedure development, and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to support multiple work shifts, as needed, and a wide range of tasks.
- Valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated interest, training, and experience in applied sciences.
- Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System standards and certified as an ISO 45001 internal auditor.
- Professional certification (e.g., ASP, OHST, CSP, CIH) or progress toward certification is highly desirable.
- Broad technical knowledge, science skills, and technical writing abilities.
