In this role, you will provide knowledge and technical support in developing rigging, heavy haul, transport, and lift strategies for project management and field engineering personnel. You will assess and plan transport requirements, help prepare schedules and budgets, assess technical proposals, and develop training. Your expertise will help ensure timely and compliant lift and site transport plans.
Major Responsibilities- Serves as Master Trainer for all rigging/heavy haul related training including Competent Person Rigger; capable of conducting Train the Trainer.
- Conducts coaching of craft personnel during field assessments and observations, ensuring best practices are being utilized.
- Responsible for working with the project training team to ensure rigging/heavy haul training programs are properly set up and executed by qualified instructors.
- Assists in assessment of the deployment and set up of all required rigging/heavy haul training programs across all projects under their purview.
- Assists in developing rigging training curriculum per project‑specific requirements.
- Provides knowledge and technical support in developing rigging, heavy haul, transport, and lift strategies for project management and field engineering personnel.
- Prepares technical specifications for bid packages.
- Assesses technical proposals of subcontractor bid packages for lifting and abnormal transport.
- Coordinates with subcontractors in the preparation of timely and compliant lift and site transport plans.
- Develops critical lift/heavy haul and transport studies as a Bechtel Certified Rigging Engineer (CRE).
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
