Evans & Chambers Technology is actively seeking a highly motivated Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The role requires design, planning, and execution of data exploitation workflows into the Intelligence Community's Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Poly

Location: Reston, VA (on-site)

The Cloud Data Engineer must understand relational databases, No

SQL databases, and cloud storage solutions. Ideal candidates are experienced with cloud data warehouse implementation, data acquisition, data tagging, and archival. This position will work closely with the Cloud System Administrator and the Database Engineer to use emerging best practices in cloud data storage to streamline data accessibility in a multi‑cloud environment.

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years' experience, or 9 years in lieu of a Bachelor's
• Required certification:
  DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Required certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent
• Desired certification: AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty or equivalent
• Experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing relational database solutions (Postgre
  
  SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing No
  
  SQL solutions (Mongo
  
  DB)
• Experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing cloud data storage solutions
• Competence with AWS infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Cloud Formation, AWS CDK)
• Development skills in Python, Bash
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
