# Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

Job Summary:
This position reports to the Project Planning Manager and oversees the planning and scheduling of engineering procurement scope, reports progress, and initiates actions to assure program/project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within requirements and quality expectations. This role is in our Reston, Virginia office.
"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership" #LI-EH1
# Major Responsibilities:
** Leadership and Organizational Management*
* + Leads the planning and scheduling organization, for the engineering scope.
+ Provides leadership to planners responsible for day-to-day execution of planning activities.
+ Conducts performance management, mentoring, and capability development for planning personnel.
# Planning & Scheduling Governance
+ Lead all schedule development, integration, maintenance, and monitoring activities for the engineering scope
+ Ensures adherence to planning and scheduling standards, procedures, and governance aligned with contractual and corporate requirements.
+ Maintains configuration control of the approved baseline schedule and supports project change management processes for the engineering scope
+ Ensures compliance with Earned Value Management and project controls requirements.
+ Oversees schedule quality, logic integrity, and consistency.
+ Ensures alignment in engineering schedule tasks with other functions (procurement, construction, etc.)
** Schedule Analysis, Risk & Recovery pertaining to engineering schedule tasks*
* + Directs schedule analysis, forecasting, and performance evaluation activities.
+ Leads development of schedule recovery and mitigation strategies when required.
+ Provides strategic recommendations to project leadership regarding schedule risk and execution options.
+ Supports commercial, change management, and claims avoidance/resolution efforts through schedule analysis.
** Reporting & Executive Interface pertaining to engineering schedule tasks*
* + Oversees preparation and presentation of schedule status, forecasts, and performance metrics.
+ Serves as subject matter expert supporting project controls leadership, senior project leadership and client reviews.
+ Communicates complex schedule issues clearly to project controls management, executive management and stakeholders.
+ Supports integrated project reporting and decision-making processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
# Required Knowledge and
Skills:
+ Demonstrated experience leading large planning and scheduling organizations on major capital projects.
+ Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
