Cloud Systems Engineer

Reston, VA (CONUS / OCONUS Support) | Hybrid / Remote Eligible Based on Mission Requirements

Global C2 Integration Technologies (GC2IT) is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to support the design, deployment, integration, and sustainment of cloud-based mission systems supporting operational and enterprise environments.

The Cloud Systems Engineer will assist with engineering activities involving AWS cloud infrastructure, systems integration, operational troubleshooting, and distributed system support activities.

This position requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to support engineering teams in dynamic operational environments.

• Support the design and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Assist with systems integration, validation, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including design specifications and test procedures.
• Support integration of external hardware and databases into mission workflows.
• Participate in system audits, operational assessments, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support and engineering guidance to operational teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technology modernization efforts.
• Assist with deployment planning and operational sustainment activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education requirements.
• Minimum 7 years of systems engineering or related experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience using Terraform for cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Experience with Java development and integration activities.
• Experience integrating external hardware and databases using Mongo
  
  DB.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 40%.

• Familiarity with scripting or automation languages.
• Experience supporting operational mission systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting distributed operational environments.
