# Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide expertise related to all aspects of architectural work on large complex projects with unique requirements such as semiconductor fabrication plants and data centers. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, prepare, supervise, review, coordinate, and approve design and construction documents. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction for the project's technical aspects.

This is a full time position, designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews architectural work on large projects

+ Coordinates and interfaces with the day-to-day technical work of personnel​ including other engineering disciplines

+ Develops conceptual and detailed designs for projects having specialized or unique architectural requirements​

+ Prepares job hour estimates, staffing needs and design schedules​ to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.

+ Coordinates architectural work prepared by other entities to support project execution

+ Expertise in applying special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data​ applicable to the project

+ Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of work packages

+ Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier documents, material specifications, drawings, and change orders

+ Mentors architectural personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development​.

Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in architecture and 10-13 years of relevant experience.

+ US Registered Architect, licensed to practice architecture in New York or has the ability to obtain reciprocal license in New York.
