Job SummaryAs a Senior Structural Dynamics Engineer, you will lead the design and coordination of complex rotating equipment and machine foundations for multiple projects, ensuring the structural aspects of the projects meet unique and complex requirements.
Major Responsibilities- Conduct independent structural work and make judgments on structural engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for medium‑size projects.
- Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of structural components and processes following BEHP standard application programs and design review notices.
- Review and approve key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, and bid summaries for assigned projects.
- Design structures using advanced knowledge of static, dynamic, and materials engineering.
- Select appropriate structural elements (steel, wood, masonry, concrete) based on load or stress requirements.
- Generate and verify complex structural engineering deliverables such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Develop conceptual designs for projects with specialized or unique requirements.
- Prepare or oversee discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget; support implementation and performance reporting.
- Interpret new or special regulations, codes, standards, and performance data.
- Mentor civil/structural engineering personnel through on‑the‑job training.
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. Professional Engineering License.
- Advanced discipline expertise and proven ability to resolve complex structural issues.
- Experienced in rotating equipment and machine foundation design for combined cycle power projects.
- Proficient in finite element analysis software (ANSYS, STAAD, GT Strudl, etc.).
- Minimum 10 years working on combined cycle power projects with strong knowledge of industry standards and design criteria.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Right to work and remain in the United States of America.
