• Supports defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific / engineering research, capability / limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis / characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments. This includes, but not limited to, civil / industrial engineering and sub-disciplines of environmental, power system, pipeline, petroleum, structural, manufacturing, geotechnical, transportation, highway, material science, seismic / earthquake, construction, hydrology, and water resource engineering.
• Collaboratively integrates analytic results findings or production with other related analytic efforts and assessments. Requirements:
• Ability to conduct structured research, evaluate and synthesize multiple sources, identify contradictions, and adapt analytic judgments as conditions evolve.
• Ability to produce timely, logical, concise analytic reports using Microsoft Office and web‑enabled formats.
• Understanding of collection capabilities/limitations (technical sensors, HUMINT) and ability to evaluate reporting, engage collection managers, and develop requirements.
• Working knowledge of structured analytic techniques (ACH, Devil’s Advocacy, Red Team, Alternative Futures, High‑Impact/Low‑Impact).
• Ability to derive understanding from incomplete, indirect, highly complex, or technically advanced information.
• Ability to structure analysis using trend identification and diverse analytic perspectives across the IC.
• Ability to lead teams on multifaceted problems and guide selection/application of analytic methodologies.
• Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies; awareness of emerging tradecraft developments.
• Ability to define new or unique research approaches enabling rigorous assessments for high‑level tasks.
• Ability to analyze and articulate findings on analytic operations and knowledge‑management issues across organizational and IC boundaries.
• Ability to review analytic products for argument strength, tradecraft standards, and evidentiary rigor.
• Ability to define complex problems, supervise studies, and lead data‑collection and analysis efforts to recommend solutions.
• Demonstrated analytic leadership in planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies and tradecraft aligned with mission needs.
• Extensive ability to provide strategic advice and technical guidance to senior Defense planners and policymakers (Undersecretary level or higher). Experience & Education Requirements
• 20+ years relevant analytic experience (recent within last 2 years).
• Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Why Cyntel Technologies?
