Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with engineering system analysis and engineering software packages (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit, Bluebeam, BIM
360, ACC, MATLAB, or Python). - Experience with construction planning of industrial technology projects, or mission critical facilities.
- 2 years of experience managing cross‑functional or cross‑team projects.
- Experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning mission critical mechanical systems.
- Experience in land due diligence investigations and utility infrastructure assessments.
- Experience in cross discipline teams (e.g., structural, civil, architectural, IT/telecom, security, mechanical, electrical, and control systems).
A Technical Program Manager at Google leads complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish. The role involves working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross‑functional partners across the company. It focuses on technical tradeoffs in product development and includes explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and engineers.
SalaryThe US base salary range for this full‑time position is $138,000–$198,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and may be adjusted based on job‑related skills, experience, and education.
Responsibilities- Define project scopes throughout due diligence, detailed design, preconstruction, and construction phases and manage execution with external vendors and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the core team to execute technical due diligence and evaluate greenfield land for suitability of cable landing station deployment, including off‑site infrastructure requirements.
- Collaborate with the core team to localize cable landing station designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue for Construction (IFC) for greenfield cable landing station projects.
- Own and manage multi‑discipline project engineering issues during due diligence, concept design, detailed design, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, and on‑site installation. Identify and resolve issues raised by cross‑functional teams and various external stakeholders.
- Generate and manage cable landing station design and construction execution lessons learned at a project and portfolio level to support continuous improvement initiatives.
