Job SummaryThe Interface Manager is responsible for establishing, leading, and maintaining effective interface management across all engineering, procurement, construction, and stakeholder boundaries for the SRP Pumped Storage Project.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role combines leadership, technical expertise, and interface management capabilities to ensure alignment across internal functions and external stakeholders including utilities, contractors, regulatory bodies, and the Owner's team.
The Interface Manager supports the Program Director, Technical Director, and Project Managers in delivering the project in accordance with defined requirements by ensuring interface scope, design basis, construction requirements, and integration objectives are clearly defined, managed, and controlled.
This role acts as the single point of contact for all interface‑related matters and is accountable for implementing structured interface management processes, plans, and tools to achieve seamless integration across the project lifecycle.
Major Responsibilities- Lead and manage all internal and external project interfaces across engineering, procurement, construction, and stakeholder boundaries to ensure seamless project integration.
- Establish and implement interface management frameworks, including Interface Management Plans, procedures, and governance processes aligned with project requirements.
- Define and control interface scope boundaries, design basis, and integration requirements to ensure consistency and alignment across all disciplines.
- Act as the single point of contact for interface management, coordinating with the Owner, contractors, utilities, and external stakeholders to align requirements and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain interface registers, matrices, and tracking systems, ensuring all interface requirements are captured, monitored, and effectively resolved.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination and integration by leading interface meetings, workshops, and technical reviews to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure contractor and consultant compliance with interface management processes, contractual obligations, and project procedures.
- Identify, assess, and manage interface‑related risks and conflicts, implementing timely mitigation and resolution strategies.
- Ensure interface management meets project quality and integration objectives, incorporating constructability considerations and best practices.
- Prepare and communicate interface status, risks, and performance metrics, providing clear reporting and actionable insights to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years in major infrastructure project delivery with demonstrated interface management experience on multidisciplinary or hydropower projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes, including integration across disciplines, contract lifecycle, and project controls.
- Proven experience in utility coordination and stakeholder management across multiple entities (e.g., electrical, telecom, water).
- Experience in both design‑build and design‑bid‑build delivery models, with solid knowledge of construction practices and constructability considerations.
