These teams include environmental scientists, safety specialists, and industrial hygiene scientists. Collectively, they provide technical guidance and perform planning, risk assessment, inspections and monitoring, training, and data management.

Job Summary:

The Project ESH Manager oversees development and implementation of an ESH program on a major project. This includes technical and administrative aspects; compliance activities; personnel; and processes, plans, procedures, systems, and policy associated with all ESH disciplines. This involves administrative and field tasks per established industry practices, procedures, and regulatory and Bechtel requirements. The position reports to the Project Manager.  LI-AE2

# Major Responsibilities:

+   Oversee the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the project Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) program, including all technical, administrative, and compliance aspects across all ESH disciplines.

+   Assure that ESH requirements are properly interpreted and integrated into project planning documents, design criteria, construction and operational plans, schedules, training programs, procurement activities, and subcontract documents.

+   Apply Bechtel's ESH Management System and standards (core processes) to achieve, maintain, and continually improve ESH program execution and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

+   Provide ESH leadership and technical support to project functional groups (engineering, construction, procurement, subcontracts, commissioning, project controls, and document controls) to ensure ESH requirements are effectively addressed in work products and field execution.

+   Serve as the primary ESH interface with clients, regulators, and third party auditors, including participation in regulatory inspections, formal audits, and executive level briefings.

+   Prepare and review ESH technical documentation, regulatory notifications, and compliance reports in accordance with contract requirements, applicable laws and regulations, and Bechtel standards.

+   Assure that required permit applications, studies, assessments, and reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

+   Develop, implement, and maintain the project Safety and Health Management Plan, discipline specific plans, project specific control plans, and ESH training and awareness programs in compliance with Bechtel standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations.

+   Lead ESH risk identification and assessment activities, emphasizing the use of risk based methodologies to prevent incidents, protect people and the environment, and support continual improvement.
