Project Overview:The Infrastructure GBU's Renewables & Clean Power business line is executing the Maple Creek Combined Cycle Power Project, a new natural gas-fired generation facility designed to provide reliable, efficient, and flexible power generation to support growing energy demand. The project will be executed utilizing Bechtel's proven Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) execution model, integrated digital delivery tools, and Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) processes to achieve safe, predictable, and efficient project delivery.
The Lead Electrical Field Engineer will initially be based in Reston, Virginia, supporting project planning, constructability reviews, electrical work package development, material planning, procurement coordination, temporary power planning, and execution readiness activities. During this phase, travel to the Maple Creek project site and other Bechtel offices may be required. Upon completion of project setup activities, the successful candidate will mobilize to the project site to support electrical construction execution and field engineering activities.
Working closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Startup, and subcontractors, the Lead Electrical Field Engineer will provide technical leadership for electrical raceway systems, cable installation programs, equipment setting, electrical terminations, testing, energization activities, and system turnover. This role is responsible for ensuring engineering deliverables, materials, and construction activities are aligned to support safe, efficient, and predictable project execution while maintaining compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules.
