Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.

# Major Responsibilities:

+ Directs and manages design and engineering activities for projects of medium to large scale.

+ Manages complex interactions among multiple Bechtel entities or client-mandated collaborations with other contractors as required.

+ Facilitates access to specialists in advanced technologies relevant to the project and establishes communication mechanisms to effectively leverage their expertise within the engineering process.

+ Sets up the comprehensive engineering execution plan and oversees the creation of the project's overall engineering budget and timeline.

+ Responsible for providing inputs to, and owning, the engineering components of a project's capital estimate including quantities and budgets for both proposals and execution phases.

+ Performs and manages the work in accordance with relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design guides and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).

+ Establishes engineering schedule in collaboration with all engineering disciplines. Contributes to the development of the Procurement schedule for project management's approval.

+ Collaborates actively with the Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H), and Project Controls to align engineering tasks.

+ Supervises engineering activities associated with the preparation of project proposals, including estimating personnel requirements, reviewing quantities and scopes, developing schedules, and ensuring coordination with Business Development and other pertinent functional departments.

+ Reviews and approves design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specifications for construction or procurement use.
