Project OverviewWe are looking for top talent to join the expanding Bechtel Renewables & Clean Power business line to deliver the latest in our long-term portfolio of natural gas fired combined cycle power projects. This project is a nominal 1300 MW two unit plant that will provide consistent electrical power to the regional grid. Bechtel is currently supporting our customer to define the scope and design basis for the project which will utilize advanced gas turbine technology to deliver reliable and responsive electric power generation.
This role will start in Reston, VA and then moblize to site in Carroll County, Ohio.
The Project Field Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing craft operations for the project. You will have direct contact and coordination with the local trade unions and will be responsible for maintaining those relationships. Will supervise and direct craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. Will ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance is in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budget.
Will perform general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
- Proactively engages with their team's development through CPM, Competency development/assessment, and feedback. Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.
- Provides input and recommendations to the proposal team in support of project logistics, temporary infrastructure, and workflow management to support the development of the project site infrastructure and associated distributable.
- Reviews and supports the development of FNM staffing requirements to establish a complete and efficient staffing profile for the project's construction phase.
- Provides advice and guidance required to ensure successful craft management has been fully addressed in the site management strategy.
- Determines workforce requirements. Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
- Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Prepares Field Material Requisition s for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
- Supports the review and recommendations for tools and equipment during the proposal phase, including reviews with BED to address project execution planning requirements.

- Safety & Quality. Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.

- Develops and owns the project's Construction Equipment Schedule.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
