Base Operations Support Solutions ArchitectProfessional Summary
The Base Operations Support (BOS) Solutions Architect (SA) is a technical leader responsible for designing innovative, compliant, cost-effective, and executable solutions for federal facility operations, maintenance, and sustainment opportunities. The SA integrates facilities maintenance, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preventive and predictive maintenance, Predictive Testing & Inspection (PT&I), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), energy management, workforce, technology, and operational processes into comprehensive solutions that improve asset reliability, facility performance, mission readiness, and lifecycle cost.
Working closely with customers, capture teams, operations, engineering, pricing, and subject matter experts, the SA translates customer requirements and facility data into differentiated technical solutions for federal BOS opportunities and programs.
- Design end-to-end BOS solutions integrating facility operations, maintenance and repair, sustainment, asset management, workforce, supply chain, CMMS, energy management, and supporting technologies.
- Develop maintenance and sustainment strategies that balance mission availability, asset condition, reliability, risk, service levels, and lifecycle cost.
- Design preventive and predictive maintenance programs incorporating scheduled maintenance, condition-based maintenance, PT&I, and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles.
- Develop CMMS-enabled solutions for work management, asset management, preventive maintenance scheduling, service requests, inspections, inventory, labor management, performance reporting, and lifecycle asset data.
- Evaluate facility condition, maintenance history, asset criticality, work-order data, staffing, and performance requirements to develop executable technical and operational approaches.
- Develop solution artifacts including process flows, operating concepts, staffing models, maintenance strategies, technology architectures, transition approaches, implementation plans, and performance metrics.
- Conduct technical trade studies, risk assessments, technology evaluations, and solution optimization to improve performance and affordability.
- Develop integrated facility maintenance and sustainment approaches addressing preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
- Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to optimize maintenance strategies based on asset criticality, failure modes, operational risk, and lifecycle considerations.
- Incorporate PT&I technologies and condition-based maintenance techniques to identify degradation, predict failures, reduce unplanned downtime, and extend asset life.
- Develop asset management and lifecycle sustainment strategies that improve facility condition, reliability, availability, and mission readiness.
- Establish performance measures and analytical approaches for evaluating work-order performance, preventive maintenance compliance, equipment reliability, backlog, asset condition, and maintenance effectiveness.
- Integrate maintenance engineering, facility operations, technicians, supply chain, and technology into practical and executable operating models.
- Architect CMMS solutions that support asset hierarchies, work management, preventive maintenance, inspections, inventory, scheduling, mobile workforce operations, reporting, and performance management.
