Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting

Overview

Our client, a publicly traded Fortune 100 Corporation, is looking for a specialist to join their Financial Reporting team.

As a member of the Financial Reporting Team, you will be responsible for preparing SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and supporting other regulatory filings. You will interact with senior leadership and financial leaders across the globe in support of our reporting requirements.

• Prepare internal management financial information and analyses based on the consolidated financial statements and supplemental information.
• Prepare quarterly and annual Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), securities registration statements (Forms S-3, S-4) and other regulatory filings, as necessary.
• Coordinate with independent auditors to assist in audit requests.
• Research technical accounting matters and implement newly-issued accounting literature and SEC rule making releases across business units.
• Consult with business unit financial management on technical accounting matters.
• Prepare internal presentations on accounting and financial reporting matters for senior management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
• Support continuous improvement projects including technology-based initiatives.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or related discipline
• CPA
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Big 4 public accounting or comparable relevant industry experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
• Ability to work with minimal direction, set priorities and handle multiple tasks and demonstrate good planning and organization skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completeness and accuracy.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels including being an effective team member.
• Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense industry and related accounting matters is preferable.
• Experience with One Stream consolidation software and Workiva SEC reporting tool desirable. Interest or experience with advanced technologies (generative AI, robotic process automation) within the finance organization is preferable.
