We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the Homeland Sector FP&A team to support the Air Traffic and Airports, Borders, and Security Business Areas. This role offers a great opportunity to grow within FP&A, expand your financial modeling, forecasting, and business‑partnering skills while gaining exposure to senior leadership and cross‑functional decision‑makers.
Location:
Hybrid position with partial telework flexibility; you are expected to live within commuting distance from Reston, VA.
- Support the Air Traffic and Airports, Borders & Security Business Areas by providing financial reports, analysis, forecasting and other financial analysis support as needed.
- Provide financial planning and forecasting, conduct transactional research, and support monthly closing.
- Preparation of monthly financial packages.
- Develop various financial reporting materials for business area and executive leadership, including presentation material for monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecast updates, and annual planning reviews.
- Analyze financial results to include conclusions and insights on trends and variances.
- Work with Power BI tools and partner with data teams to drive automation and process efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and 2+ years of experience related to financial planning and analysis.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and detail‑oriented.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance.
- Familiarity with data science concepts, prompt engineering, or AI‑enabled analytics platforms.
- Experience with Leidos financial systems (Costpoint, Insight, OAC).
- Working knowledge of government accounting regulations (CAS, FAR, GAAP).
