Collections Specialist

Credit Union seeking a Collections Assistant for their office in Reston, VA. Great pay, benefits and stable company. Relocation available.

Job Details:

• We are seeking a debt resolution and/or Collections Specialist to work in Reston, VA.
• Secure the credit union assets and protect from financial loss.
• Process credit insurance coverage, collateral protection, and handle title work for secured loans.
• Maintain document management system for the Credit Union.
• Comply with all Credit Union rules and regulations, including BSA/AML, Loan and Fair Lending Policies.

Responsibilities:

• Work with much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of collections experience, collector at a bank or credit union.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Compensation:

• Salary: $55,000 - $57,000 per year.
