Purpose

Provide subject matter expertise in the administration of the company’s equity programs. This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality experience for participants across the organization, with a focus on supporting a dynamic, innovative engineering workforce.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Act as the key point of contact for day-to-day equity related operations and inquiries. This includes the administration of all aspects of these programs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, Payroll, HR, Finance, and external vendors/auditors.
  • Contribute to documenting processes and improving team workflows, no direct reports.

At the Operational and Company Level

  • Maintain strict accuracy and data integrity across equity compensation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and SEC regulations.
  • Support the CHRO and Director, Compensation with matters relating to equity and executive compensation.
  • Assist in audit preparation and support quarterly and year-end financial reporting needs.

Do the Work

Equity Compensation Administration

  • Administer equity programs (e.g., RSUs, PSUs, stock options, ESPP) and support tracking of variable pay programs.
  • Maintain precise records within equity administration systems, ensuring HR, Payroll, and Finance systems reflect accurate and timely award data.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support Legal and Finance teams with Section 16 filings, insider trading windows, and SEC reporting tasks.
  • Help ensure SOX documentation is up to date and audit support is timely and accurate.

Compensation Support & Analysis

  • Support Compensation team by preparing data and models for variable pay and equity analytics.
  • Assist with tracking equity utilization, award pacing, and employee participation trends.
  • Collect data for benchmarking and preparation of committee presentation materials.

Stakeholder Education & Communication

  • Respond to employee questions regarding award mechanics, vesting schedules, and tax implications.
  • Help deliver clear, concise communications and employee education sessions in collaboration with Total Rewards.
  • Draft and update participant-facing materials and resources in alignment with company policies.

Process Improvement & Systems Management

  • Identify process gaps and recommend workflow enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide input on equity platform configurations and participate in vendor evaluations as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as liaison between the Compensation and Accounting teams to ensure accurate variable and equity program accounting.
  • Provide data support during audits and month/quarter-end close processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CEP certification (Certified Equity Professional) is preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of experience in equity compensation or stock plan administration with a public company.
  • Experience supporting executive compensation programs.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal and state tax regulations related to equity compensation (e.g., ISO, NSO, RSU, ESPP).
