Job Summary:
Within a team environment, the Associate Manager, Financing Services works on a range of financing services assignments in support of all Bechtel Global Business Units. This includes exposure to our development work in the power and infrastructure sectors including renewable energy, gas, digital infrastructure, transportation, and other related market segments. This position is designated as part-time telework under Bechtel’s global policy and requires a minimum of three days per week in person at the assigned office or project.
Weekly schedules will be determined in coordination with the supervisor and functional leadership.
- Financial analysis, due diligence, and evaluation of project opportunities as well as developing and analyzing potential project financing structures.
- Financial and economic analysis of new markets, new technologies, potential partners, competitors, and M&A targets to evaluate financial feasibility and profitability while balancing risk factors.
- Understanding the debt capital markets and working with lenders/underwriters to market sound and close financings for Bechtel projects.
- Understanding project finance principles and their applicability to Bechtel projects.
- Evaluating and sourcing export credit financing, developing bank financing and other policy bank related initiatives.
- Other financial analysis activities to support Bechtel’s business units and enhance competitiveness and/or mitigate risk.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated interest in international business and infrastructure financing and development.
- Candidate is expected to have a command of finance theory and the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical issues and decisions in business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other quantitative analysis tools.
- Ability to perform quantitative analysis independently is critical.
- Eagerness to help Bechtel identify and seize new business opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Foreign language skills and work experience in multiple countries are beneficial but not required.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, finance, or a technical/engineering field. Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred.
