This position is Career Level 20P, located in Reston, VA, with a Role Classification of Hybrid. Role Summary The Financial Controller performs a key role within the Volkswagen US-Holding, Inc. ('VWUSH') Finance department. As part of an integrated team that is responsible for Controlling, Treasury and Corporate Vehicle Services, the key representative functions for this role include:
Preparation and submission of all necessary financial forecasts (incl. budget and planning round) as well as alignment with Group Controlling. Managing strategic Controlling initiatives including the development and maintenance of a dividend distribution model. Leading the day-to-day budgeting tasks to ensure revenue and fixed cost objectives are achieved. This position will require close coordination with the Managing Director, Finance as well as all companies within the VWUSH tax consolidated group.
In addition, this position will lead the preparation of quarterly Board of Management presentations.
Role Responsibilities Financial Forecasting (50%) Develop and implement financial forecasting infrastructure to support forecast and budget processes for new entity Prepare and submit forecasts as required including coordinating inputs for VWUSH departments (like Treasury, CVS, Tax, Legal), dividend and cost information as well as submitting the necessary reports to Group Controlling. Lead the annual budgeting and 5 year Planning Round forecast, in close relationship with the Managing Director, Finance.
Coordinate with all companies within the consolidated tax group to determine annual dividend distribution. Responsible for the development and presentation of the 5 year planning round financial forecast to the Board of Directors, Managing Director, Finance and Planning Round committee port Management on strategy or operational projects as required. Strategic Controlling initiatives (30%) Prepare quarterly presentations to the Board of Management Develop and maintain dividend distribution model.
Ensure close collaboration with the Tax department at VWUSH and all VWUSH subsidiaries in the tax group. Operational responsibilities (20%) Create and update liquidity forecast on a daily basis for 90 days and on a monthly basis for 12 months to ensure sufficient cash is on account for tax and operational payments. Perform Controlling activities including review and analysis of monthly closing actuals with forecasts and budgets.
Provide analysis and variance reporting to the Managing Director, Finance. Manage Service Level Agreements with Affiliates. Support approval, payment and tracking of VWUSH invoices.
Qualifications Years of
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or Treasury Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree Desired
